ENTSO-E publishes the Implementation Guidance Document (IGD) on Cost Benefit Analysis and the Response to the comments received during the public consultation of this IGD

Beginning of March 2017, ENTSO-E and the respective Working Group hosted a public workshop on the topic of Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) relevant for the application of the Connection Codes. The workshop was realized upon suggestion of the Grid Connection European Stakeholder Committee (GC ESC), aiming at exploring whether improvements in the initial version of the IGD are needed.

ENTSO-E publishes the Implementation Guidance Documents (IGDs) on the Frequency Related Parameters and the Response to the comments received during the public consultation of those IGDs

Over the last months ENTSO-E has been working on drafting a set of very important Implementation Guidance Documents (IGDs) on frequency stability related issues. These IGDs will greatly support the national implementation process and will provide more information and clarity to both TSOs and relevant stakeholders on a set of non-exhaustive requirements.

ENTSO-E publishes the Implementation Guidance Document (IGD) on High Penetration of Power Electronic Interfaced Power Sources (HPoPEIPS) as result of a consultation process from 5th April to 5th May.

Europe currently has three connection network codes: Requirements for generators (RfG), Demand Connection (DCC) and High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC). RfG has entered into force on 17 May 2016, the DCC on 18 August 2016 and the HVDC on 8 September 2016. The Member States have the obligation to implement these codes no later than three years after their entry into force. Within this timeframe, the Member states have 2 years to define the national specifications for the so-called non-exhaustive requirements.

ENTSO-E publishes today the Response to the comments received during the public consultation of Implementation Guidance Documents (IGDs) and the updated IGD Compliance Testing and Monitoring as result of the consultation.

In order to support the implementation of connection network codes at national level, and as required by the network codes, ENTSO-E has produced and consulted during 8. December 2016 – 16 January 2017 with stakeholders the so-called Implementation Guidance Documents (IGDs), which aim at providing non-binding guidance on decisions to be made at national level when implementing these network codes.
