Terna, Italy
TERNA S.p.A is the TSO in Italy. It is the primary owner of the national high-voltage electricity transmission grid, with more than 63,000 km of HV lines throughout Italy. It is also responsible for the transmission and dispatching of electricity throughout the entire territory. TERNA is also responsible for the planning, construction, and maintenance of the grid.
Main contributions to the project:
TERNA is involved in work package 1, work package 2, work package 4, work package 5 and work package 6. Considering the morphological configuration of the Italian peninsula, TERNA could figure as the hub of the Mediterranean area towards the European continent.
