RSE (Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico SpA) is the new face of ERSE since 21 July 2010. The company (a public body and research organisation) was established to take over funded research activities of national and international interest and began operation on 1 January 2006. About 350 technicians and researchers based at their main laboratories carry out research in the electricity and energy sector. RSE’s mission is to implement public-interest R&D programmes to address national energy, environmental and economic goals. RSE SpA is currently owned by GSE, ‘Gestore dei Servizi Energetici SpA’, a public shareholder wholly owned by the Italian government.

Main contributions to the project:
RSE will lead work package 6 with respect to socio-economic profitability.
