Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Portugal
The Instituto Superior Técnico, founded in 1911, is the largest and most respected school of engineering, science and technology and architecture in Portugal, forming part of the Technical University of Lisbon. It has around 8500 students who are enrolled in 21 different first-cycle programmes and 33 second-cycle programmes, covering a broad range of fields including all traditional engineering domains and modern specialisations such as biological engineering, biomedical engineering, aerospace engineering, transportation and technological physics engineering. A total of 1500 students are currently enrolled in 22 PhD programmes. Instituto Superior Tecnico has a faculty of almost 800, of which 700 have PhDs, and develop their activity on our campus and provide the necessary guidance to our students.
Main contributions to the project:
IST will be leading the task on the environmental validation of scenarios using its methodology on SEA.
