Institute of Power Engineering (IEN), Poland
The Institute of Power Engineering, Gdansk Division is a state-owned research institute. Since the 1950s, IPE has participated in R&D on electric power control equipment (such as control systems for synchronous generators, power system stabilisers, secondary voltage control systems and precipitators) from the study phase (development of mathematical models), through development, design and manufacturing to installation supervision. Over the years, our specialists have gained experience in carrying out simulation studies along with conducting field tests. We have a strong interest in the integration of renewable energy resources with existing power systems. The institute is a member of European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) and also is affiliated with CENERG (Centre of Excellence) Integration Centre for Central Europe for Research in Energy from Fossil Fuels and Renewable Sources.
