CEPS, a joint-stock company, is the sole Czech Transmission System Operator under exclusive licence granted by the Energy Regulatory Office. CEPS is specifically responsible for the provision of transmission and system services under non-discriminatory conditions and at competitive prices, interconnection with transmission systems of neighbouring countries and the reliable operation of transmission system facilities and the dispatch of system generating sources within the Czech Republic. The CEPS National Control Centre provides real-time control of the power system operation thus contributing towards the successful fulfilment the Company’s basic mission – ensuring the safe, secure and reliable operation of the Czech power system.
